*Warning SMUTTY Scenes*
While doing my book reviews, I set a criteria for myself. I would read authors and or genres that are not what I usually read. For so long, I stayed with my trusted authors. Many years ago, when I was working at Borders, it was easier to read different books. I was able to borrow the books. Until now, I have been unable to buy books or check them out of the library. Books are expensive, and libraries have wait lists that are sometimes months long. I will not review books I have not read already cause there is a bias. I have been trying to find more authors for the last couple of years, but there are so many! I decided to let sites like TikTok and Goodreads help me to choose. So far, I have not had a book that I could not finish. The book is Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey.

I am not a golf fan, but this book was easy to follow without being too technical. Josephine is Wells Whitaker’s #1 fan. If he is doing a tournament in Florida, she is there. Wells, however, is in the worst slump of his golf career. Wells is known for his hot temper and ability to push people away—even his number 1 fan. While Josephine is on the verge of turning in her fan club card, her world is turned upside down. Against his better judgment, Wells checks on his personal cheerleader. Seeing how bad things are for Josephine, Wells decides to make her his caddie.
It would have been easy to stay with the grumpy guy, who is really a sweetheart troupe. This book shows that the female protagonist isn’t just someone who needs saving. The author clarified that Josephine is a force of nature in her own right. She found ways to coach Wells and put other players in their place. By the end of the book, she had earned her respect in the golfing community.
I would recommend this book. This is an author that I have seen books by over the past couple of years, but I didn’t want to take the chance. I am glad that I decided to get this one. The smut scenes are well done, and they don’t drag on. It’s a problem that I find a lot of run into. They fit in with the story and are pretty well done. The book had a good pace, and the mood, for the most part, was very light. I felt that Josephine had a Pollyanna quality to her. She was very cheerful until she wasn’t.
