Adorkable Musings

There have been only a few times when I have jumped on a bandwagon.  Usually, when people tell me I have to watch or read something, I smile politely and shrug it off.  I can think of only two times when something has been recommended and I have enjoyed it.  The first is Harry Potter; the second is One Piece. My One Piece collection is crazy, but this is a story for another day.  The third has been recommended to me by several people, almost all of them saying that with the books I read, I would love it, and they were right.  Today, we are going to talk about Heated Rivalry.  🥵

Heated Rivalry is a Canadian series based on the same book by Rachel Reid. It’s currently has “Booktok” in a tizzy. There have been viewing parties and many discussions about the series’ themes.  Then there are the scenes… please use your imagination. ☺️ It’s something that will make people uncomfortable.  The story isn’t just about the love scenes; it tells 2 different stories of men coming to terms with who they are. The men in this series are the ones most would see as manly.  They’re hockey players.

This has had such a toll on women that they have started referring to hockey games as the boy aquarium. 😜 Rachel Reid’s Game Changer series has seen a massive raise in sales, because people want to read about the characters, and get a foot up on the next season.  And there will be a season 2; the rumored release date is 2027.
