So I had a totally different blog idea for today. I was going to get my car worked on and then get a new tattoo. I was so excited for this tattoo. I have kept it to myself; I haven’t told anyone except a few friends. I am flying to Chicago to surprise my dad, so I wanted to have it by then. But life has a way of putting a wrench into your plans. I took my car in for a simple fix. My car needed a new serpentine (drive) belt and a new cabin air filter. However, once they got into the car, they realized there was an oil leak. Since I had been there a couple of weeks before, they were aware that this was a new issue. The leak turned out to be a faulty gasket in the engine. My $150 repair was now $700. 😒 I swear I try to be a responsible adult, then life slaps me in the face. It also doesn’t help that today (January 10) is dreary and rainy.
What made it worse was that I was 15 minutes away from the tattoo shop. Luckily, they let me reschedule. By the time this is posted, I will be back from Chicago (happy birthday, daddy). If everything goes well with this, I will add the tattoo to this post. 😘
