Once again, I let a book cover choose my book. 😅. This week’s book review is Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. The title grabbed my attention, but it’s the picture on the cover that made me add it to my TBR list. The cover is minimal. Looks like the photographer took the picture in black and white. The couple on the cover are in an interesting position. I ordered this book because I couldn’t walk to the cash register to buy it.

You would think that with a title like Wallbanger, there would be smut everywhere. This is not the case. Caroline finds the perfect apartment in San Francisco. That is until her next-door neighbor starts up with some sensual nighttime activities. This causes Caroline to lose sleep, but she lets it go. Until it becomes a habit. After a terrible day, she goes over to her neighbor to tell him that enough is enough. Enter the remarkably handsome Simon Parker. Caroline decides immediately that Simon is her enemy.
While Caroline and her friends are at a work party, she finds out that Simon is a long-time friend of the host. There is a lot of funny back and forth. Even her cat Clive gets into some of the misadventures. One of the things I like about this book is that it was a gradual build. There wasn’t smut between the main characters until about three-fourths into the book. The book ends with Clive’s point of view, which is positively hilarious. I would recommend this book. It was a good summertime read.
